In a surprising collaboration that challenges usual predictions, Ubisoft has announced an digital collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The surprising holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Adventure Disclosed

According to the authorized announcement, "A mysterious meeting leads heroes Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where hints of prohibited rituals and monstrous metamorphoses reverberate through the obscurity." The storyline presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the duo with venturing into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden cult.

The adventure centers on "bizarre tests and a terrifying adversary" and is open to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Locations and Transformations

The preview highlights the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan recreated as the Crystal Cave. This historic location was earlier where the Reiss royal family transmitted the Founding Titan ability through ages. The teaser finishes with a striking sequence showing a character, probably the captive, transforming into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Rewards and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana together with several objects secreted throughout the area in secret chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
